Dr. Priya Vaidya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Lovely Professional University, Punjab. She is a certified MAXQDA Professional Trainer (Qualitative Data Analysis Software), a Mendeley Advisor, and a Microsoft Innovative Educator (2024–25), as well as a Microsoft Certified Educator in Technology Literacy for Educators – 21st Century Learning Design. She has also delivered specialised training and consultancy services on MAXQDA to Early Career Researchers and scholars worldwide, with a focus on implementing qualitative research methods and integrating Artificial Intelligence into qualitative inquiry. Dr Vaidya additionally serves on the Editorial Board of the COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management (CJSIM).
Her research and teaching interests span Qualitative Research, Knowledge Organisation, Educational Policies, Service Quality, ICT Applications in Education and Research, Social Media Analytics, and Systematic Reviews. She has a good understanding of EdTech tools and resources and delivers educational technology training on various aspects of qualitative or mixed-methods research. She is a Philomath and enthusiastic and believes in knowledge sharing and collaboration with social researchers across countries.

Regarding her academic achievements, she has been a Senior Research Fellow (University Grants Commission) at DLISc, AMU, and a Gold Medalist. She received a PG Merit Scholarship while pursuing her Master's from the Department of Library & Information Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Dr Priya has completed various online certifications from Georgia Technological University, Coursera, Google, and Microsoft. In 2020, she attended and presented at an International Workshop by IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) at Le-Meridien, New Delhi. In 2021, she participated in the first virtual World Library and Information Congress by IFLA.
